Let's Clear Up Some Confusion with the Harris Teeter Coupon Policy

Today I had a disagreement with one of the Harris Teeter Managers, and want to share this with you so we can clear up some confusion.

I bought (10) Oscar Mayer Select Hot Dogs, and had (10) $1.00 off coupons.

He tried to argue that I could not use more than (3) Like coupons in one day.

This is not true.  I pulled out the coupon policy and showed them that it states:

"We double up to three identical items with manufacturer coupon; additional coupons for like item will be honored at face value....."

So, let's break this down:

Only 3 like coupons can be DOUBLED.

Well my coupons are for $1.00, so they aren't going to be doubled anyways so then it would be taken at face value.

He kept wanting to argue, that he knows it's only 3 like coupons per day.

My friend and I called the corporate, and they of course confirmed that you CAN use as many like coupons you want, it's just they will only DOUBLE 3 like coupons.  We asked him to call the manager at the Harris Teeter to make sure he understands the coupon policy, and he did.

So, for those of you that are mislead that you can only use 3 like coupons, now you know that you can use as many as you want (as long as they aren't doubled, and as long as they aren't printable coupons.  They will only accept (2) like printable coupons per day)

So for example, if you bought 50 packs of hot dogs, and had 50 coupons that won't double, you can use 50 coupons!  (unless of course the coupon states that there is a limit of so many coupons to be used in one transactions, like the P&G coupons for example)

And another confusion you might have, is that they say you are only allowed 20 coupons per day.  Again, this is 20 DOUBLED coupons...so if you have 50 coupons, 20 that will double, 30 at face-value, then this is allowed.

Also, here is the Coupon Policy for Harris Teeter so you can print out and place in your binder, for situations like these.  :)
